He graduated from the "Faculty of Engineering" at Cairo University with a major in the field of communications and electronics in 1968.

He completed his studies "after graduation" from the "Royal Institute of Technology" in Stockholm.

He joined Ericsson and assumed various responsibilities in Sweden, Saudi Arabia and Egypt until 1991.

He returned to Egypt in 1992 and established "Adcom" company, which has become diversified in different sectors of the economy.

He has also participated in the implementation of several projects in the field of telecommunications in Egypt.

He is also Chairman of the Media and Broadcasting Development Council.
He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Daman for Electronic Payments and Smart Cards Applications Company.
